Going South for Autumn Half Term
via Birmingham and back via Nottingham.
The first part of the trip was down to Birmingham to stay two nights with a friend. We went to Manchester and down the M6, to day the motorways were clear(ish) and we had an easy run.
The next morning Sue and out friend went swimming and in the Jacquizy all out doors! No pictures of that?
The next day we continued down south and stopped of at Darting Hall for lunch and a look around the grounds.

We then continued down to Sue's dad's for the next couple of days. One of the highlights was going for a walk over at Star Point. On what otherwise was a wet stay.

The morning we left, the sun came out, (dose the sun always come out when you leave?) so we stopped for a few minutes in Kingsbridge. It seems along way to go and not stop for awhile,
These are a few pictures of Sue's dad's top garden. Select a picture to see it full size.
Some images from the day.
We then aimed back to the motorway north, and for a very slow drive up to Nottingham. It was getting so bad we were wondering about booking in some where for the night.
A really good to stop in Nottingham, well Beeston to be exact. After a good nights rest, we drove the slow and very pretty way back home, via Buxton and Glossop.
the continuing story.
