Boating from Skipton
we travel from Skipton to Kildwick.
Sue closing the farm access bridge (swing).
We are moored in Skipton, but as we have gone past the junction with the branch canal, we are going to have to keep going in the same direction, until we find a turning point (winding hole). Which takes the first few miles out towards Gargrave, before we can turn the boat round and head back to Skipton. So we start of for Kildwick via Low Bradley etc.
Part 1. Towards Gargrave.
We are on the Leeds and Liverpool canal, and have travelled out past Niffany Swing Bridge to we are just before the large A59 bridge crossing the canal, there is a Winding hole here, muddy shallow but usable. After turning round, we go through Niffany Swing Bridge again, and through Sipton and aim for Low Bradley.
Part 2. Low Bradley.
Travelling out to Low Bradley is very scenic, even with the A629 thundering away, often only a thin hedge away.
Part 3. Kildwick
We kept moving through Low Bradley and on to Farnhill and Kildwick.
the continuing story.
