Shardlow - No Movement
Get up late, not going any where!
Check under the floor in the kitchen, still more water, probably slowly making its way down through the ballast, (It is what keeps the boat down in the water and usually hid away under the floor, this allows the boat to go under the low bridges and still have standing room inside.) For some reason, the builders who made this boat decided to use sand for this purpose! WHY? As we slowly do the boat up we are removing it, but it does absorb any water that gets under the floor, and it takes along time to dry out again.
Out with the brush and pan and all the bits of floor get a brush today. Then its the turn of he windows, and by now this cleaning up the boat is getting a bit boring! time for break and a wonder around Shardlow.
Have good time going round the local chandlery, only brought some odds and ends, but its nice to think what you could do if you won the lottery!
A stroll back to the boat and a light tea.
