It was easy going all the way to Fradley, but Fradley was chaotic, I don't know why, but people seemed to be doing less helping of each other in the locks etc. when we are going through today. Richard went on in front, to help people through the lock, but when it was out turn to go through, no one from the boats, behind or the boat in front came forward to help, we left the gates open ready for the next boat to come in. Funny experince that, didn't happen anywhere else.
Pushed on a further mile and stopped for lunch, pulled in, the bank/towpath on the soft side, one of the pegs comes out while we were eating, so had to pull our selves back in.
Some pictures taken on the way to Great Haywood. in the afternoon - select a picture to see it full size.
Eventualy pulled into what seemed a quirt spot, Bishton. Had a light tea, then we all went for a walk. Went up to the main road and turned left and crossed the river Trent, and turned left again and into a Nature Park (The wolseley Centre). We spent a pleasant time that evening walking around the different paths, bit like a maze! Before going back to the boat, reading bed time drinks and so to bed.
