Drivers view of what can be a very busy junction, thats why every body likes to watch!
We first came here when we lived in Birmingham, originaly we used to go down to Alrewas, another picture box village just further down the canal,
both are just of the notorious A38 between Tamworth and Burton.
There was a nice pub serving food there, where we had lovley lunches many a time, it changed hands and it was not quit the same afterwards.
Fradley has the advantage of more boats, partley because its on a junction, with locks situated at both ends.
So you can watch the boats queuing to get through on a sunney day, while you drink your beer at the nice pub or drink your coffee at one of the two cafes.
(and the ice cream and cakes are not bad either.)
In more recent times we have been there with our canal boat Dawn, (some three times.) Not only has it water points, but toilets and showers.
Which my crew say are very nice. During the summer it can be difficult to find some where to moor, but some times luck is with you.
