In the summer it is just good to be a visitor, just watch people and boats buzz about.
Bringing about through in summer is OK if you feels relaxed. Coming this way you can only see whats happening after you have gone through! woops. If you are on the main channel there are locks either end which blocks your view of whats happening. To add to the fun of queing boats for the different locks and turning boats (which is always good for a laugh) there are also service points for water, showers etc. and tempory moorings etc so it is a recipe for total chaos. oh what fun.
