Preston Brook Tunnel is a tunnel on the Trent and Mersey Canal (Main Line - Middlewich to Preston Brook) between Preston Brook Tunnel (southern entrance) and Preston Brook Tunnel (northern entrance)
It is 1239 yards long
The 1239 yards long tunnel is straight enough to see the daylight at the other end! Boats heading northwards are only allowed to enter the tunnel between 00 and 40 minutes past each hour. So timing is every thing!
