Been through Burnley now on NB Dawn. Your view is still of an area of derilick destruction, and not very much being done about it. Its known for the Embankment (nearley a mile long) that cuts through the town. There is also the Gannow tunnel 559 yards long. On some waterways this would cause a bottle neck, but there are just not enough boats for that. We have crused this area, and not met a moving boats for days at a time in summer.
More recentley we have been by car to Towneley Hall, a real must see.
