One of th places we go to, if we feeled bored with Hebdon Bridge. Todmoredon is more of a real town and has a very good indoor market, and the out door one next door is not bad. The coffee shop in the market can be recomended, as some where worth trying. There is also a very nice whole food cafe/restuarant in Todmordon, not sure what to call it, when we first went some 10 years ago it was good and basic, now it is getting very trendy indeed, see pics somewhere else.

Todmoredon is nice for going for walk next to the canal, we have been all directions now over the years, some walks shorter than others, but you always get a good climb. If you go in the right direction, you have the great wall of Tod, there is a high supporting wall going up from the canal, with the railway line perched on top. (see pics.)

On this walk in 2014 (January) we don't go past the great wall of Tod, but made our away towards Hebdon Bridge.

Came to Todmoredon again in May 2015, to explore the old Quaker Burial ground, and get a good work out, it had to be at the top of a steep hill. (Around here, everywhere seems to involve going up a steep hill?)

the Quaker connection -

Ex-Burial Ground
There were also meeting places at Todmorden Edge in Todmorden, Shore in Stansfield and at Bottomley in Walsden, where members included Henry Kailey (Todmorden Edge) Lydia and Richard Stansfield (Shore) and the Fielden family from Bottomley.

Walking up to the burial ground i good exercise if not good for the soul!
