Looking at the official web site, it says this is still one of the steepest roads in the UK with gradiants of up to 33% and mostly single track. But the views! So give it a try.
As for the relatively young Susan (she did not like being called Susan!!!) long dress, waistcoat over a tight teashirt? but she did always like exploring new places.
