The Leeds and Liverpool Canal cuts through the village and there are several narrowboat moorings at Salterforth. The canal footpath provides a picturesque walk to Barnoldswick or to Foulridge in the opposite direction. The village also has a canal side pub, The Anchor Inn along with a lovely children's play area.

Cycling & Walking

We are lucky enough to be sat on one of the most beautiful sections of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal. There are an abundance of sprawling fields, hidden walkways, monuments, beauty spots & bike trails we can recommend. Along with the famous Pendle Hill (setting of the 17th century Witch Trials) we are also within striking distance of the Forrest of Bowland. We have a safe area for bike storage beside the pub & the best of Lancashire hospitality for when you return!

Canal Boats
Being a stones throw from the water we do offer takeaway bottles of wine, cartons of beer & food baskets so you can enjoy us for a little longer on your travels.
