Keighley has a variety places to see and do, there is the NT property East Riddlesden Hall and Bronte Country for those with a intelectual bent. For those who like a little bit of retail therapy as part of there day out there is Howarth, with its cobbled road leading up to the rectory which is now the Bronte museum. Howarth can also be a good starting point for a variety of walks across the moors, but Keighley being in a valley, has walks going of in many directions, and most days you can see groups going across the hills to exotic locations. For those who like there outdoors more contained there is St Ives, described as a country park, and it has a very nice cafe. For those who like there excitment to be slow, there is always the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, where you can take a steam train a few miles up the valley and take a short walk to Howarth. During the summer you can some times find a vintage open top bus, and have a guided trip around Keighley.
