Redmire
Redmire is currently the western terminus of the railway line, with stunning scenery and amazing views of Penhill. It is ideally located for a walk further into Wensleydale or follow in Turner’s footsteps up to Bolton Castle (3/4 mile), the spectacular medieval fortress which is over 600 years old. Redmire Force (1 mile) a series of small waterfalls on the River Ure or Aysgarth (4miles) make for a lovely walks and are particular beauty spots in the Yorkshire Dales Nation Park. Redmire is also home to the annual music Festival – WensleyAle which is held every May.
