We were taking a autumn half term break (October 2011) in the South West and went to Star Point after a very wet morning.
We arrived at a wet and not very full car park above the cliffs, after driving down a lane (like many in the south west) with few passing places for on coming cars. You were left wondering what it would be like in the height of the summer, when there would be many more cars around.
We took a well made, gently sloping path, leading us down to the lighthouse at Star Point. On arriving we found that it had guided tours happening that day. So we waited. Looked around, and waited. Looked abit more and waited. Then it was our turn to go in.
It was a very enjoyable tour around the lighthouse, touching on its present role and a quick delve into its history.
On the way back to the car park it started to drizzle, (in the gloom) but we managed to get these shots.
