On the canal at locks, you become good at waiting, because every thing happens slowly, and a lot of things need to happen. So you learn to wait at let the processes happen. Hear two boats are coming down. First they had to fill the lock with thousands of gallons of water. Then manouver the two boats in and close those bar doors behind. And then loose those thousands of gallons of water, before they can open more doors. Then find space to drive the boats out, with out obstructing the boats waiting to go in.
