Yoga is an inner journey ~ A journey into our own Self
It’s a path of self development dating back over 5,000 years encompassing body mind and spirit. It’s a path to health and well-being with awareness as its cornerstone. It brings physical vitality, mental resilience, clarity and calmness. Hatha Yoga encompasses practices of asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), relaxation, meditation, cleansing and chanting. Yoga is much more than a physical exercise system – it can change and transform your life for the better!

Krishna Dhyanam
Krishnadhyanam (Richard Roberts) grew up believing that he could not sing. When he began his process of ‘leaving home’, he began his journey of finding his voice. He bought a guitar and spent the summer of 1960 endlessly singing Bob Dylan’s ‘Mr Tambourine Man’ whilst working in the kitchens of Butlins Holiday Camp in Clacton-on-Sea. His fellow chalet dwellers threatened to break the guitar over his head if he sang it one more time - an ironic flashback to many years earlier when he remembered his mother smashing his father’s banjo - part of their troubled relationship - (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

Mandala Yoga Ashram - In Wales
Mandala Yoga Ashram was founded in July 1986 by Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati to teach and propagate classical yoga to all people without consideration of class, religion, race or gender.
It was inspired by his Guru (preceptor), Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
The ashram provides an ideal place to learn and practise yoga and is dedicated to helping yogic practitioners to go deeper in their practice, self-awareness, inner transformation and realisation of their place in the universe. Yoga is an invaluable practical tool, philosophical system and way of life for bringing peace, meaning, wisdom and joy into our lives. In this way, the ashram offers a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for the individual, family and society.
Mandala Yoga Ashram is an independent charitable institution with close links with the Bihar School of Yoga and the British Wheel of Yoga. The ashram is open to all and gives courses on a wide range of Yoga related subjects.
The spiritual head of the ashram is Swami Nishchalananda.
The ashram emphasises the importance of awakening feminine qualities such as intuition, caring, unconditional love and compassion, qualities which are so important in the world in which we live.

Satyananda Yoga Centre Nottingham
Swami Niranjan gave his blessings to this new centre in May 2004. The wish for this new centre is to bring together people from the wider areas of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Leicestershire and more northern counties who wish to deepen their experience of Satyananda Yoga. For those of you who have not been to the centre, it is situated in my small terraced house in Arnold and because the size limits teaching, most classes are held in other venues. There are, though, regular short courses held at the centre and the cleansing practices are taught twice yearly. We have a selection of Satyananda books and tapes/CDs for sale. Anyone who wishes to help and offer any karma yoga (help with the centre) will be very welcome. Please contact Amarajyoti

Yoga, Meditation & Therapy Space
Yoga can help you look good and feel great! There are physical and mental benefits for people of all ages and abilities. Here's what the Guardian had to say about it. “Yoga could be as effective as cycling or brisk walks in reducing the risk of a heart attack or stroke.. the ease and low cost of doing yoga mean it could become a useful tool in reducing heart-related illness, which kills 160,000 people a year in the UK – about one in four of all deaths.”
